Home Support Worker

Caregivers with training and experience in care of the elderly, care of persons with disabilities, and care of convalescents may apply under the Home Support Worker Pilot program.
Upon approval the caregiver shall receive an occupation restricted work permit for 3 years. After gaining 2 years of work experience in Canada, their PR application is taken up and processed by the IRCC.
Eligibility
- have a genuine and valid job offer
- are qualified to do the job
- meet the language level (IELTS score: L-5, R-4, W-5, S-5)
- meet the education requirement (ECA report of a Post-secondary education credential)
- are admissible to Canada
- plan to live outside the province of Quebec as a permanent resident
The family members are also eligible to come with the caregiver to Canada. If they want to work or study while in Canada, their work or study permit applications are included with the application.
